music, dance, motivational inspiration & fashion is more than a
dream, but a way of thinking.
The
Chicago native mother of two, born March 29, 1983, grew up in the north
shore suburban township of Wilmette, IL. New Trier High School graduate
& alumnus of the International Academy of Design and
Technology, Uhuru received her BA in Fashion Visual Merchandising
Management. As a teenager, Uhuru often found herself drawn to the world
of artistic creativity, modeling, dance, photography & fashion
inspiration. Everything from taking part in local & national
pageants, taking on modeling & acting training with John Robert
Powers, to indulging her musical & vocal talents with studio &
vocal training, Uhuru loved the ability of self expression & the
freedom to be all that she could be.
True to her name, Uhuru F., has developed into her own. For
over 14 years, Uhuru F. has been a dancer, creative instructor, singer,
artistic director for industry models, and more.
Through
persistent endeavors & positive attitude, Uhuru F. believes that,
"Being
the movement...is all you need to create a movement."
